The Feathers of Downs

But is the goose really "a goose"?
Not really!
Geese are very sociable animals which are easily domesticated, however even domesticated geese retain their natural ability to adapt to living in difficult climatic conditions. Nature has provided these birds with a special plumage which acts as an insulating barrier. This unique structure of feathers and down creates insulating cells in the form of small ‘air pockets’, enabling them to deal with a wide range of temperatures from extreme heat to extreme cold. One of the most essential characteristics of real goose down is its exceptional ability to regulate body temperature. This is combined with a form of natural humidity control, absorbing excess moisture and wicking it away from the body, then gradually releasing it into the atmosphere as air re-circulates around the feathers.

The Coton
Something as precious a real goose down needs to be combined with another equally as precious natural material: the coton.
